Preparing Your Skin for Spring!

Winter weather is officially coming to a close, and just as you switch out the clothes in your closet for the warmer weather, your skincare routine should make a switch, as well.

Lighten Up

Opt for a lightweight moisturizer like our Glow Getter.

Mask Up

No, we're not referring to the masks you haven't left home without since March 2020. We're talking about a clay mask, like our Green Tea Matcha Mask or our Orange Cacao Clay Mask once a week to help draw out impurities and keep the skin pure and light.

Exfoliate

Exfoliate twice a week to slough off these dead skin cells to make way for new ones. We're obviously biased, but Exfoliate & Glo Powder is a must for this step.

Hydrate

This should be a priority both inside and out. It's recommended to drink at least half an ounce of water per pound you weigh. And for the outside? Mist Me Spray can be applied on the fly.

Toss

Spring clean your makeup! This one is so often forgotten. Toss out old makeup and skincare products that are past their prime. Clean your makeup brushes every week to lessen breakouts and help their performance. Refresh your supply.

Tip: Unbelievable Skincare products are best used within a year after purchase.

Cleanse

If you are still using a heavy cleanser, make the switch to something gentle with moisturizing properties. We shared some great information about cleansing oils last month. Check it out!

Eat

Feed your skin from the inside out by eating more fruits and veggies, especially the dark leafy greens, foods rich in omega 3 essential fatty acids, and high-quality, lean protein.

Sunscreen

To be totally honest, this is a tricky subject for me. Most sunscreen options on the market are filled with toxins, and our bodies need Vitamin D. I personally don't use it and eat things like walnuts and tomatoes as my defense. I also opt for a hat to lessen sun exposure on my face. Please do what works best for you, but I think we can all agree, that your skin should be protected from the sun.
