A Gentle Reminder to Breathe

This summer has been a full one.

Between running my business, spending treasured days with my grandchildren, keeping up with everyday responsibilities, and trying to enjoy God's beautiful creation while the weather is warm, the days seem to pass in the blink of an eye

.

Maybe your days look a lot like mine.

As moms and grandmas, we often find ourselves caring for everyone around us. We make sure little tummies are fed, engage in playtime and everyone has what they need. We pour so much of ourselves into the people we love.

And while there's great joy in that, it's easy to forget that we need a little care, too.

Lately, on the busiest days, I've found myself reaching for the Unbelievable Face & Body Mist.

I enjoy the instant hydration it gives my skin, especially after spending time outdoors in the summer heat. But what I've come to appreciate most is the pause it creates.

The gentle aroma of pure essential oils invites me to stop for just a moment. I close my eyes, take a deep breath, and allow myself to simply be still.

In those few quiet seconds, I'm reminded that not every moment has to be productive. Not every minute needs to be filled. Sometimes, we simply need to breathe and be grateful.

Grateful for another summer day.

Grateful for the laughter of grandchildren.

Grateful for meaningful work.

Grateful for God's faithfulness through every season.

It's amazing how something as simple as a refreshing mist can become a small daily ritual—a reminder to slow down and reconnect with what matters most.

I think we often believe self-care has to be elaborate. But sometimes it's found in the smallest moments. A cup of coffee before the house wakes up. A barefoot walk in the grass. A few quiet minutes on the patio. Meditating on a Bible verse. Prayer in the midst of a busy day.

These small pauses help us refill our cups so we can continue pouring into others.

If your summer has felt a little overwhelming, know you're not alone. Whether you're caring for grandchildren, working, tending a home, or balancing all of the above, I hope you'll give yourself permission to pause.

Take a deep breath.

Feel the sunshine on your face.

Notice the beauty around you.

And remember that caring for yourself is one way of honoring the life and body you've been given.

Sometimes the most meaningful acts of self-care aren't grand at all.

Sometimes they're found in a simple moment of gratitude, a deep breath, and a gentle reminder that you matter, too.
